Rubik Cube Solver Update

Well I gave in and bought the program. My cube took 20 moves to solve
it, but the program works.

Of course, then my son wanted to play with my "block" and he dropped
it literally 20 seconds after I solved it. IT BROKE! Argh!!!!!!!!

If anyone needs their cube solved, let me know. I've got a program
that is no longer any good to me. Kids!

Rubik Cube Solver

So I got a Rubik Cube for Christmas a few years ago. Before I got to play with it, someone grabbed in and mixed it all up. Since then, may people have tried to fix it. No one has been successful. Now there is an answer.

Chevy Tries to Make Fun of Ford's Tailgate Step...Idiots

So Ford created a great thing on the new F-series trucks. It's a step to help get you in and out of the bed of the truck with ease. It's a great idea. And Chevy is now helping advertise this feature for Ford by trying to make fun of it.

Good-bye Circuit City

I meant to post this on Saturday but it was so uneventful I forgot.
Don't waste you time looking for deals at circuit city. They aren't
good. In fact, there were still CDs and DVDs for $20+ and only 10% off
computers.

I did play with the blackberry touch screen phone a little and it is
no good. Even though I'm starting to hate the iPhone and even apple as
a company, the iPhone is still better than that phone was. The "click"
they talk about in their commercials is the screen actually moving
backward when you press on it. It's supposed to get you a tactile feel
but I think it just made it seem cheap.

Back to CC going out of business, I guess the person in charge of
selling all their stock thinks he can get suckers to buy stuff
thinking they're getting a deal. Well friends, don't be fooled.

Conan O'Brien at the Auto Show

Conan O'Brien was at the Detroit Auto Show and took a camera crew. I laughed to the point of tears.

Doogie Howser to Barney Stinson...Neil Patrick Harris is Cool

I'll admit I watched Doogie Howser, MD. And now my wife and I love the show, "How I Met Your Mother." Well, being a music fan, and having played this song before in a speech class (I can explain that in detail some other time), the "SNL Doogie Howser theme song" skit was awesome to me. Neil Patrick Harris is either a great actor or he's really playing the keyboard too. His fingering look close and the rhythm is right. Hmmmm. Probably not but it would make him cooler. Yes I said cooler. He's cool now. Watch "How I Met Your Mother." And enjoy this too.

The New Hudson River Landing Strip

Since everyone's talking about it, I thought I'd post this cool rendered video of the flight which landed in the Hudson River after a flock of birds took out the engines.

Can You Say, "Tools"?

This is a BMW 7 series in the hands of "Tools." Notice the idiot hanging out of the passenger side rear window waving to the crowd. I'd like to waive this guys right to drive. It's probably Mommy's car too. This is still my favorite BMW 7 series built. Did you see the first "Transporter" movie. It's the same model as Jason Statham's character's original car. It's awesome. Very much so NOT like these Tools. Huge, huge, Tools. I just realized I also have a label called "Tools." I'll be checking out whatever I labeled "Tools" before.

Is It a Limo? Is It a Tank? The Obamobile.

The new presidential Limo is a crazy heavy duty chassis with tons of "secret squirrel stuff," wrapped in a Cadillac grill for looks. Keeping The President of the United States of America safe is a really important thing. From rocket proof to bio hazard proof, from Kevlar tires to night vision, this is Obama's new ride. I don't get why the cutaway drawing I found is in England English. 300,000 pounds is listed as the price. And "tires" is spelled "tyres". Anyway, it's $442,350 according to Google. That seems cheap for that tough a car.

Star Wars...Told By A Girl Who Has Never Seen The Original Trilogy

This is so funny. It's a girl who never saw the original Star Wars Trilogy, but is asked to put the plot together from the bits and pieces she has seen. Enjoy.

Fast And Furious 4

I'm not going to lie, I actually liked the first Fast and Furious. I think Vin is "cool" (even if he's not straight...allegedly). I saw the second movie; it wasn't as good. The third looked stupid so I didn't watch it. But now the forth one looks like the original. I think I'll rent it when it comes out on video. It'd even go see it with the boys if they wanted. 04/03/2009 I mean, the end did say, "New Model, Original Parts."

VW Does Diesel Right...Fast

I'll spare everyone the boring specs info and just let those who want to know about this cars stats take a look over at Autoblog. But this is sweet. VW introduced their BlueSport Turbo Diesel car. 35-57 MPG, 6.2 seconds 0-60, 180hp, and top speeds of 140 mph. Oops there are some specs. Couldn't help it. Finally, a diesel done right. Hopefully this or a variant of this concept will come the the USA and California. I'm betting Cali will have a thing or two to say. They always do. Jerks.

2010 Taurus? Really? This Is Too Nice.

Are you kidding me? This could be the start for Ford to return to being a profitable company. This looks great. Check out more at Autoblog.

Not All Car Companies Are Losers

Audi posted a record number of sales for 2008. According to Jalopnik, Audi posted "1,003,400 sales globally, a 4.1 percent increase over last year’s 964,151 sales. December 2008 sales jumped 17.4 percent (82,800) over the previous year’s December sales (70,523)." Today, I found this concept Audi A7 over at Autoblog. Look at this thing. It's a work of art. This is why Audi is coming up in the world while most of the others are coming down. This is a thing of beauty expected to be shown at the North American International Auto Show or NAIAS.

Not By Works of The Law, By Faith We Are Justified

Again, Romans 3:27-31 reminds us that faith is what justifies us, not works. If justification was based on works, we would have something to boast in or feel as though we earned it for ourselves. But we are justified by faith apart from works of the law. We do uphold the law with our lives; we just cannot boast that our justification comes from it.

Short but sweet. God is good. Faith in God brings salvation. I, for one, am glad it is not based on my works of the law. I am a sinner, unable to do right and earn salvation. My sin nature too often interferes with my works of the law/righteousness. I fail too often in living a God glorifying life to hope for salvation from my own doing, my own works. I praise God that the gift is free to those who believe. I know I will throw myself at His feet in thanksgiving and praise for the undeserved gift of grace.

"God, help me show love like You love. Help me live to show Your grace and love to others. Forgive my sins. Use me to draw more sinners to You. Your grace is amazing."

Praise God for His Justifying Grace.

Crazy French Drivers

This is just an entertaining car chase clip from some sort of French movie. I think my friends and I would have done this if we had the place, vehicles, and money. This is sweet. The end is the craziest. Also, the stuff flying at the cameras and windshields is wild. We did do some of this; just not on film. We couldn't have evidence of our tom foolery. Found on Jalopnik.

It Is To Show HIS Righteousness

Romans is really a hard but powerful study. It is a book that has many well known verses. Romans 3:21-26 is today's study and contains verse 23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This is a powerful verse, able to show people that no one is righteous, no one has or can earn Heaven and eternity with God.

The righteousness of God has been and always will be. It is God. Righteousness is God's character. And it has been manifested through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. We are all sinners, falling short of the glory of God. We are only justified by the grace of God given in the gift of Jesus, who redeems us through His blood. Only by faith in the payment for our sins made by Jesus can we have the hope of salvation. This hope is only understood by believers as fulfillment of God's promise to save those who believe in Him.

Here's a part of this that is sometimes forgotten by the selfishness and pride of mankind. He died to save us for HIS glory. verse 26 says, "It was to show His righteousness at the present time so that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." Too often we think that the statement ends at "Christ died for ME." It should go like more this, "Christ died to save me from my sins to glorify Himself and to show us that only He can justify us." Salvation comes from Christ alone. We are saved by faith in Him, called to be His children and follow Him.

Praise God for His Justification.
Praise God for His Provision of Salvation through Christ.

We Are Retarded

We bought a fake Christmas tree for next year. Buying it now let us
take advantage of the after Christmas sales.

I didn't count on the box not fitting on the car. I need a truck.

Mac vs PC

This is sweet.

The Law Tells Us We're Sinners, It Doesn't Justify

"None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one sees for God."

Paul said this to the Romans most likely because they believed they were saved because they followed the law. Romans 3:9-20 talks about Jews being under the law and the law revealing their sin. Verse 20 says, "For by works of the law no human being will be justified in His sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin."

In all of our lives, the law should point out our sins. We should see that we are not justified by the way we live. We can't be. There is too much sin still in our lives. Even as believers we fall and participate in sin. We still do things that, without God's grace, earn us Hell and eternal damnation and separation from God. The law's design is to help hold us accountable to God by giving knowledge of sin. It does not justify us. Only the gift of God's grace can do that.

Praise God for the Law.
Praise God for His Grace.

Old vs. New MD Logo

Walmart has everything.

New Aluminum Bottles

Pepsi is joining the new aluminum bottle product presentation that Mountain Dew did awhile back. I'd talk to their design but I don't know anything about football anymore. My old team "The Cowboys" are represented by Tony Romo. I thought that was just "a place for ribs."

Still A Nerd

Tech-Guy-Ted likes English comedy. I saw this and it was funny to me. Women won't get it, because it involves English humor, space, time, and general nerdiness. Enjoy.

I'll Be A Nerd in 2009 Too

This is cool.

New Year. New Cans. Truckee Sweets Candies.

We drove up to the snow with our cousins. With all the snow pictures, this is what I post. Hey, it's my blog.
