"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1-8 starts with this great truth. And although this doesn't mean we will live sinless lives, it does mean that One did, satisfying the righteous requirement of the law. Jesus came and lived a perfect life according to the law by the Spirit because He was God. "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." Those who have their minds on the flesh are hostile to God, not submissive to God's law. They can not please God.
It's time to turn our minds to the things of God and the Spirit. Peace and life come from God; death from the flesh. It is a battle of the Spirit against the flesh in our lives. We must continue to focus on God and flee the desires of our flesh.
Praise God for His Word. It provides the focus we need.
