The Bean Spreader, a device that clamps onto a can of beans and helps spread beans out at an even amount, would be helpful in making nachos, quesadillas, and huevos rancheros. Anything needing a thin layer of beans evenly spread over a large area would benefit from a bean spreading device.
I have had that same idea for a long time, maybe since the 1980's. I envisioned it as like a caulking gun. You would open both ends of a can of refried beans,, put in in the gun, and squeeze the trigger, extruding the beans through a nozzle, sort of like the way cakes are decorated with icing.
ReplyDeleteIn may, of 2012, I was waiting for an order at Del Taco restaurant, when I saw an employee using such a device. I asked to see it, but there were no brand name markings on it, so I could not learn where to buy one.
